Summerlin is a 23,400 acre planned community in southern Nevada, along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley near the Spring Mountains and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
Climbers, hikers, cyclists, photographers and naturalists from all over the world make regular pilgrimages to Southern Nevada’s most breathtaking natural treasure – Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Residents of Summerlin make regular visits to this awe-inspiring place every day.

Red Rock Canyon provides an enduring and protected natural backdrop, community park, national recreational area and private sanctuary.

Recreation
Life in Summerlin provides you with as many things to do as places to live. In fact, more than 1/3 of the entire 22,500-acre community is dedicated as community space.

You'll have access to a 7,000-acre playground with more than 150 miles of community trails connecting you to more than 100 neighborhood and village parks. It means you'll have nine world-class golf courses to choose from, as well as Nevada's only two TPC courses.

It means running, jogging, skating, hiking, biking, basketball, baseball, football, softball, soccer, swimming, playgrounds, bocce ball and horseshoes, just to name a few. And, we haven't even mentioned the nearly two-dozen events, 100-plus classes and other activities coordinated annually for our residents.

Here you'll find numerous amenities that promote healthy living, including miles of trails ideal for walking, running or cylcling; hundreds of parks; yoga and Pilates studios as well as several state-of-the-art fitness facilities including the 24-hour Fitness Agassi Super Sport.

Education
Summerlin offers residents more educational choices than any other Las Vegas community. Let's start counting. There are 11 public schools, 11 private schools and 7 child care facilities serving our youngest residents. In fact, most of Las Vegas' premier private schools have campuses in Summerlin.

In addition, Summerlin houses four institutions of higher learning including the renowned Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Las Vegas.

Entertainment
You are moving into a community with world-class, cosmopolitan shopping, dining and resort amenities.

For instance, Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa was listed in Conde Nast Traveler's 2007 Hot List as one of the best new hotels in the world and it's right here in Summerlin. J.W. Summerlin Villages

Summerlin is a unique community in that it is made up of a number of villages.  Below is a very brief description of these villages and what they have to offer the Summerlin community at large.

Sun City Summerlin
Sun City Summerlin is a 2,530-acre active adult community for individuals ages 55-plus. The village, which was developed by Del Webb Communities and is currently managed by its own community association, was completed in 1998.  Sun City Summerlin offers a three 18-hole, semi-private golf courses: Eagle Crest Golf Club, Highland Falls Golf Club and Palm Valley Golf Club, Desert Vista Social Center, Mountain Shadows Social Center, Pinnacle Social Center, and Rainbow Medical Center.

The Trails
The Trails is a 573-acre village that is home to miles of the Summerlin Trail System, several residential neighborhoods and one of Summerlin’s most popular retail centers. With the Trails Community Center and swimming pool (private), The Trails Park (home of the Summerlin Little League), The Trails Linear Park and a 24 Hour Fitness Agassi Super Sport and The Merryhill School (private), The Trails has something for everyone.

The Hills
Summerlin's first village, The Hills, is an almost 400-acre residential village known for its stunning tree-lined streets that have set the standard for landscaping throughout the community.  The Hills includes: The Hills Park, The Adelson School (private high school), Ernest A. Becker, Sr. Middle School (public), Milton I. Schwartz Hebrew Academy (private), and William R. Lummis Elementary School (public).

The Hills South
The Hills South village is a 725-acre village that features several residential neighborhoods, many of which are clustered around TPC Summerlin, the very first TPC golf course in Nevada and home course of the state’s only annual PGA TOUR event now known as the Frys.com Championship.  With three custom homes sites, a number of office parks and child care facilities, the Hills South provides all your basic needs.  For more of a cultural experience, be sure to visit the Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center and The Donald W. Reynolds Cultural Center, home of Nevada Ballet Theatre.

The Pueblo
The Pueblo, a 568-acre adobe-inspired village, is best known for its almost 62-acre linear park that offers walkers, joggers and cyclists some of the most beautiful desert scenery in southern Nevada.  The Pueblo offers several senior living facilities, several schools (both public and private), both a Catholic and Lutheran church, and the Pueblo Medical Center.

The Crossings
The Crossing, a 530-acre mixed-use village, is one of Summerlin's largest business and commercial areas that is home to the 110-acre Crossing Business Center, encompassing approximately 1.2 million square feet of office space. The village also features a variety of residential neighborhoods and abundant neighborhood amenities, including schools and parks.

The Canyons
The Canyons is a 750-acre village designed around the 18-hole, championship TPC Las Vegas, a public, daily-fee golf course that features ruggedly dramatic desert topography and unparalleled mountain and city views. The Canyons is one of Summerlin's most prestigious, exclusive villages and is characterized by impressive natural paseos and rock outcroppings. 

The Arbors
The Arbors is a 1,300-acre village located on elevated topography just east of the 215 beltway. It offers residents an impressive view of the Las Vegas valley and is designed around a series of parks and paseos. The Arbors is home to a long list of educational, cultural and recreational neighborhood amenities.  With a variety of parks and schools, as well as the College of Southern Nevada; Bob and Sandy Miller High Tech Center at Summerlin and Creative Kids Learning Center, the Arbors is very student and family friendly.

The Vistas
The Vistas, an 800-acre European-inspired village, is situated just west of the 215 beltway on elevated topography that offers views of the Las Vegas Strip to the east and mountain views of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area to the west. The village’s northern and southern entries are marked by parks and 48-foot clock towers, which have become famous Summerlin landmarks.  With several parks and Linda Givens Elementary School, the Vistas is a great family village.  The Vistas also offers the Vista Commons for your shopping needs.

The Paseos
The Paseos is a nearly 400-acre residential village west of the 215 beltway with homes that draw their architectural inspiration from the Hacienda and Mission styles. The Paseos is best known for its paseo trail system that runs from the southern to the northern border of the village and its large neighborhood park.

Summerlin Centre
Emerging in the heart of the community is Summerlin Centre, a 1,300-acre village that is taking shape as Summerlin’s urban core. Summerlin Centre combines the best of retail, hospitality, entertainment, office and residential elements. Designed to be a vibrant and influential social hub, Summerlin Centre will be a place where employment opportunities, great shopping, exciting dining and numerous cultural and recreational possibilities are all just footsteps from home.  Summerlin Centre has offices, retail centers, parks, schools, the Red Rock Casino, Resort and Spa, as well as Clark County Fire Station #28, and a senior living facility.

Red Rock Country Club
Red Rock Country Club is a 735-acre village adjacent to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area that overlooks the entire Las Vegas valley. The luxury, executive and custom home community is guard-gated and features two 18-hole championship Arnold Palmer-designed golf courses.  Courses include The Mountain Course (private golf course) and The Arroyo Course (public golf course).  The Red Rock Country Club provides a clubhouse and sports clubhouse for your convenience.

The Willows
The Willows is a 730-acre village that features abundant parks, tree-lined streets and lush green landscaping.  The Willows offers a custom home neighborhood, the Willows Community Center and swimming pool (private), Willows Park, Willows Paseo Park, Spotted Leaf Park, D’Vorre and Hal Ober Elementary School (public), Children’s World (child care facility), In The Beginning Child Development Center (child care facility) and Carefree Willows (senior living facility).

The Gardens
The Gardens is a 410-acre mixed-use residential and commercial village that features a distinctive garden-like setting. A mix of residential neighborhoods is situated around a central loop road that winds around a large community park.  The Gardens offers residents the Nevada Cancer Institute, The Gardens Park, The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain (private), The Gardens Plaza (office and retail), and The Gardens Community Center.

Ridgebrook
Ridgebook is a 100-acre mini-village that features a park surrounded by four neighborhoods.  Ridgebrook offers Ridgebrook Park and John and Judy Goolsby Elementary School (public).

The Ridges
Nestled against the picturesque foothills of the Spring Mountains, The Ridges village is one of the country's most coveted guard-gated luxury communities. The nearly 800-acre village features luxury and custom home site neighborhoods, a 10,000-square-foot private resident clubhouse and the one of world’s first Jack Nicklaus replication golf course - Bear’s Best Las Vegas, a daily fee course that features copies of famous signature holes from Nicklaus-designed courses.  With seven custom home site neighborhoods, the Bear’s Best Las Vegas, and Club Ridges (private), this guard-gated community is for you!

Montechiaro
Montechiaro is Summerlin’s newest Active Adult community for residents 55 years or better.  The gated village features resort-like amenities and several luxurious condominium neighborhoods to choose from.

Siena
Siena is a 667-acre, age-qualified, resort-style community for individuals ages 50-plus. The guard-gated village features approximately 2,000 luxury single-story homes and villas. Lake Siena, a quarter-mile man-made water feature with 40-foot cascading waterfalls, adorns the community's impressive entry.  Siena includes the Siena Golf Club golf course, Village Community Center, Health & Fitness Center with Wellness Center, and Golf Clubhouse.

The Mesa
Situated on dramatic, elevated topography, The Mesa is Summerlin's southernmost village to date and one of its most distinctive. The nearly 500-acre residential village, which is nestled against the Spring Mountains, features a desert contemporary architectural style.  The Mesa offers Bishop Gorman High School (private) and The Mesa Park.
